The five programmable keys on the 5505 SIP Phone can be programmed as CDE speedcall keys only.
Feature Keys are not available on 2500, 5001 IP Phone, 5201 Phone, or Symbol Wireless Phones.
Feature Key information can be displayed on display telephones.
For 53xx and 69xx IP Phones, you can configure the COS option Enable Device Configuration, which allows you to launch a Key Inquiry Session without using the Superkey; instead, you only press the feature key for the configured period of time.
On 69xx IP Phones, the press-and-hold method of launching a Key Inquiry Session can be used to program or edit the features and associated labels in the table below. To program other features, use the Desktop Tool or the User and Services Configuration or Multiline Set Keys forms.

Feature Keys can be programmed by the user on 5212 IP Phone, 5215 IP Phone, 5215 IP Phone (Dual Mode), 5220 IP Phones, 5220 IP Phone (Dual Mode), 5224 IP Phone, 5320/5320e IP Phone, 5330/5330e IP Phone, 5340/5340e IP Phone, 5360 IP Phone, TeleMatrix 3000IP Phone, Navigator, and 69xx IP Phones. However, the user cannot re-program a line appearance.
If Direct Station Select (DSS), multiline, and/or key appearances are programmed with audible "ring" type into any of the 14 programmable feature keys on the Mitel 5207 IP Phone, or the 13 line select keys on the SpectraLink wireless set, audio interruption may occur. If you are having a conversation on one of these phones when a programmed key becomes active (for example, ringing, or receiving calls) you may experience a momentary interruption in audio reception. The reason for this interruption is that the hardware of these sets does not support two speech channels.
If you need to program a 5207 set with DSS, multiline, and/or key appearances, we strongly suggest that you
a) program DSS, multi, and/or Key appearances with "no ring" type, or
b) use an IP Console (Release 5.2 version), and/or a 5215 or 5220 IP Phone.
If you need an audible "ring" type and if audio interruption is a concern, we recommend that you do NOT program DSS/multi/key appearances on the 5207 or SpectraLink sets.
For the 5304 IP Phones:
The system administrator can program the following function keys on a personal key (PK): Hold, Redial, Cancel, and Transfer/Conference.
The system administrator can program the following features, though they are not recommended unless they can be programmed on a key with an indicator: Music, Do Not Disturb, Message Waiting, Night Answer, Make Busy, and Phone Lock.
The user can only program personal keys as speed call keys using the programmed Superkey.
For Generic SIP Phones:
While users are logged into a SIP device, feature access keys that are available on MiNet sets will not be accessible—for example, Call Forwarding, Message Indication Key, Auto Answer, and so forth. Some of these features may already be provided by the SIP phone itself. The administrator can assign any specific usage for programmable keys, since they are not defined. The key assignment shown below is an example only.
For 5302 SIP Phones:
The 5302 SIP Phone has four programmable keys that are hard coded as CDE Speed Calls, which can be programmed in the System Administration Tool to provide the following features:
Key #3 - Voicemail
Key #4 - Conference
Key #5 - Personal Speed Call 1
Key #6 - Personal Speed Call 2
See SIP Phone Support Programming for instructions on programming these keys.
